Todne @ Les Zygomates

10 August 2006

Event lighting is such a challenge, but I continue to try to adapt to it, one step at a time.

Compared to the Julie White shows I've tried to capture earlier this year, I'm getting better results with focus, principally by switching to using a fixed shutter speed to minimize effects of my own impatient movement before the exposure has finished. The camera is only automatically chosing aperture.

Well, not only aperture size. Also colour balance. Les Zygomates is fairly friendly light-wise in not using various coloured spots, so I should have been able to get better results than these by either manually using a cooler preset colour mode or using a custom setting based on a greycard. Guess it's time to buy a greycard...
