These are rather poor quality, unfortunately, for three main reasons – or four if you count the photographer. First, they were shot mostly with the kit lens of the Canon Digital Rebel XT, an 18-55 zoom that can only stop up to f3.5 and thus is a poor low light lens even beyond the common complaint of its softness. (I really need to move a wide aperture prime lens up higher on my wishlist.) The exposures were also all handheld and usually without the hideous, distracting flash, so very few are sharply focused. Finally, the lighting was difficult; center was lit by a single intense red spot, stage left by a cross up between the red spot's falloff and a blue spot, and stage right only by the red falloff.

I haven't touched any of them up at all. Still, I think a few of the shots came out sort of interesting...
