British School of Falconry

On September 8, 2004, Rachel got to take a lesson in falconry through a program affiliated with the Equinox Inn. During a two hour lesson she got to handle three different Harris Hawks, walking with them, "throwing" them and having them return to her. Though these hunting birds didn't actually catch any game during our brief walk, there was an interesting period where they honed in on a red squirrel who ultimately managed to hide from them and get away.
